HardlyThey Obviously don`t think LPL can support the route
There were 3 per day which was increased to 4. From what I hear Manchester leant on them. However this is history, and not for this thread. If there is only one flight a day to LPL there has got to be a reason
Now why does that not surprise meThere were 3 per day which was increased to 4. From what I hear Manchester leant on them. However this is history, and not for this thread.
They must see some sort of market and we also need to remember they will be looking at passenger travelling to Devon as well as passengers flying from Devon. KLM have a significant UK network that seems to work. The more I think about this announcement, the more I can't understand it.
KLM fly 3 x day from BRS (a 60 min drive up the M5?) they also fly from SOU each day, so I can only see them "pinching passengers" from those 2 routes. I would have thought people from the Exeter area would already be using those services and I can't see many people saying "we can now fly to AMS from EXT, let's go".
To reply to @mullion comment, I am sure airports try and apply pressure to airlines in all different ways to keep their services.
