Just to advise anyone thinking of booking a flight to Jerez next summer, that there is a direct rail link into Jerez and also a direct link to Cadiz. Just spent the last few days in the latter and can thoroughly recommend it. Its a really beautiful city and for extra interest the US base at Rota is close by. I only saw a black hawk helicopter but with a 3700m runway theres plenty of scope for other aircraft.

Seeing them all throw support at DSA ironically and now a statement like this, maybe LBA should secure planning permission for further terminal expansion. Be proactive. Still cant wrap my head around the gov being so poor with the brand new terminal, which looked fantastic. Hopefully this new extension can bring level up the airport.

intresting. LBA best get plans for further expansion + longer runway in if that's the case..
!!

The irony that her colleague in the cabinet is a marxist lunatic. And Rachel Reeves didn't support the original plans for the terminal did she? Or am I wrong?

And her colleagues in Leeds are so anti LBA growth - she needs to tell them as it is, to get in line and support it. But she doesn't have the ability to remove the whip. Only Two tier Kier can do such a thing.

She's resigned this morning. Convicted of nicking mobile phones a few years back if I interpret the news correctly.

She was mugged and claimed her work mobile was taken. It was actually at home. She didn't inform the police she still had it. She says it was a mistake but was convicted having pleaded guilty on the advice if her solicitor.

Let's hope what she said about airport expansion was party policy and not just hers. As she's a Sheffield MP you wonder if the friends of DSA have just lost an influential ally in their bid to re- open it ?

All the five Leeds Labour MPs objected to the new terminal at LBA. In fact I recall they all sent the same letter, probably penned by my MP who seems to be the anti airport ring leader. Not that they actually made any difference locally given the Leeds Labour Council approved the plans anyway, albeit with a few positive votes from non Labour members of the Plans Panel.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
