Following on from my November post, TK1995/6 will upgrade from an A321 (190seats) to an A330-300 (289seats) on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 2nd April-26th October and the flights are slight retime to 1430/1600z. All other services will remain as an A321.
The A330 will be back again next summer it seems. Arlineroute stated the initial schedule for 2020 for MAN showed 3 A330s per week with 2 being the A330-300 and 1 being the A330-200.
Last flights of the month have now operated and I thought I would give a brief resume of September's movements and numbers.
As always the morning flight (TK1993/TK1994) was operated with an A321 offering 188 seats - totalling 5,640 each way.
The early afternoon flight (TK1995/TK1996) is scheduled for an A321 but was actually operated with an A330 on 12 occasions although the seating configuration has varied (305 x1, 289 x 3, 250 x 1, 220 x 7) - totalling 6,346 each way.
It certainly looks very good when an upgrade is done so often.
Reported on Twitter by Airport news UK that Turkish will increase their Manchester capacity from 28th March by using an A330 8 times per week compared with 3 times a week last summer. The other flights will use an A321.
