Assuming that DSA doesn't reopen and subsequently become the UKs No 1 base (I think not) then I feel sure you're right and once the terminal is finished and there's room to breathe inside on a busy day, TUi will base here again. How many aircraft is another matter but even one is progress. The relationship between LBA and TUi seemed broken after their defection to DSA and in later years, their axing of the Sunwing base mid contract , but since DSA closed there's been a steady increase in presence here which hopefully continuesI'm blowing the Leeds trumpet but arguably Leeds is too big to ignore now. Folk can argue all they like about this hilltop airport with a runway not pointing into the prevailing wind, but one thing is certain which is it pulls in the punters. It's Leeds' catchment area and bums on seats that make money, not long runways facing a particular direction. Sooner or later Tui will have to follow the market forces if it is to regain its Yorkshire market share.
