I flew out of BHX on Friday. Arrived at security queue at around 4:20am. It was no more than 15/20 mins despite it being very busy. I have to say very efficient too. I did notice the queues at the check in desks were horrific though which could be contributing. I really dislike the idea of one...

Sorry but this doesn’t make sense to me… Are you saying that only 20 passengers per day, each way, want to fly to/from the BHX catchment area to JFK?

I don’t mind the lifts, just wish they had been completely glass, would have made a nice feature and let a bit more light in.

I can see them doing well. Maybe not the traditional holiday destination for some but with a large Muslim community here in the Midlands who maybe prefer a more conservative culture, I can see it being an attractive beach destination as an alternative to say North Africa or Turkey

The Berlin & Barcelona timings are great for a short weekend away.. can’t wait to use them! Fingers crossed they do the same for Madrid as the timings on Ryanair aren’t great!

AI could launch BOM without requesting the slots though right? Airlines are always launching routes which don’t feature in the slot reports… There are more informed folk on her but I reckon we’ll still see AI launch new routes from BHX this winter

I Know I’m just being greedy now but I’d love Wizz Air to pick up Larnaca & make it year round… & Belgrade would be a good route for Wizz too!

I had a similar experience but couldn’t fault the supervisor there at the time (man, 40s maybe?). I do think BHX offer excellent customer service. Only frustration came when boarding the Easyjet flight and they forgot to call the speedy priority passengers first but I guess that was swissport staff.
