I have come to the conclusion that the information posted above from Amadeus should not be relied upon. The information keeps changing and none of the other sites are yet showing any increase. Information provided previously derived from Amadeus has proved to be inaccurate

It was said by someone a while back that the the build cost had been reduced whether this is true I have no idea.
It has also been said by others who clearly have knowledge of what is going on that what was shown in earlier renders was out of date and things have changed.

That may be the case. It looked like part was staying and someone on another forum said as much for the 1974 bit. I am worried that the change will noticeably reduce the stands available.

I hope your right but the planning statement clearly states that only the existing apron will be used and re configured now with one extra stand.
As the statement makes clear the planning application is not about expansion but updating.Basically they will get rid of T1 and T2 extension...
