Are Bristol housing aircraft as storage? How many could they park I on stands or otherwise?

Cornwall Airport Newquay - General Thread

Just wondering if anyone was cited on Newquay spitting aircraft? Tons of space.. easy use for training.. now they are grounding, that’s a lot of planes to store!

    Bristol Airport - General Thread

Not really a Bristol airport piece but I can see at BRS the extent of the travel ban with cancelled flights but I thought travel to and from the US was cancelled? I’m seeing daily loads of flights on flight radar going back and forth...

Cornwall Airport Newquay - General Thread

BA Heathrow (Willy Walsh money where your mouth is time) or easyJet LGW. City flyer would be best for equipment but can’t see LCY being the end point. we need it back either way. Manchester daily is also a big loss

    Flybe

Flybe gone.... Very bad news for the airport... don’t know what this means for the London route? staff and the Cornish public will be severely impacted by this. Just don’t know what airline is out there to pick up the kind of connectivity Flybe provided to the regions.

    Flybe

Worrying times again? News suggests Flybe hours away from collapse. would be terrible for Newquay..

    British Airways

Interesting.. Mr Walsh clearly looked at my post... Absolutely a slot sitter. Encouraging but let’s see what materialises from it. It’s deffo a two fingers to FLYBE. a daily morning slots would be great...

    Flybe

Well what a week for Flybe. The AMS route is fab news for NQY.. long wanted and overdue.. it is an irony that we lose our own hub but schipol ain’t to shabby. Great options with KLM.. well done NQY! I sincerely hope Flybe or Virgin Connect really get this airline to a good place. NQY would be...

    Route Development

Good point! Let’s see if he puts his money where his mouth is. He won’t of course because he has no government money to do it.. It’s a real shame I think, LHR is where all regional airports want to be connected to..

    Route Development

I find that staggering.. he was one of them saying they would never run it and it wasn’t on their list even with a 3rd runway at LHR. Im personally glad something has been sorted. Climate change aside, APD needs to be reviewed but in this case I think Virgin could have done more. They didn’t go...

Turkish look to have gone into STN.. good for them.. I wonder if they are thinking about further expansion into the UK with a new airport and new aircraft coming online?

Airport Master Plan for next 30 Years - Consultation

Looking at this picture, is there not room within the airport boundary to extend the runway to the boundary fence as they do in some countries?

    Bristol Airport - General Thread

Interesting.. personally hoping that Cap and APD devolution doesn’t happen. Both not great for the airport, economy or joe public.. Aside from the above, I fear that the climate emergency will take front and centre of politics and prove very difficult for infrastructure projects in the UK. To...

Cornwall Airport Newquay - General Thread

Flybe have the uk pretty well covered from NQY.. in fact I’d say that NQY is one of the best connected UK airports between late spring and autumn.. We do down here need that extra sun route. Both Faro and Alicante do really well.. case in point, flights are very really that cheap and flights...
