Unlikely I think. Bristol was muted some years ago and it hasn’t happened. With Pegasus now on town I can’t see it myself. I heard NCL before Bristol.

Re the ME3, if Bristol did secure one, surely air bridges would need to be a pre requisite? I cant think of anywhere in the UK where they don’t connect via a bridge.. I always thought Bristol had these in their plans?

I’d say it’s news but I don’t think it’s really great news. The benefit for me of Istanbul is onward travel, so Turkish airlines as other have said. The market I’m sure is there.. with 10 million passengers a year, I’m not sure what more BRS needs to do?

We need to hear more about their LH ambitions or not given their recent win on expansion. They have always stated it and we hear snippets from time to time. Nevertheless, TUI dropping is a blow.

I don’t understand it.. there is little confidence in CWL yet Qatar are willing to go back on what was a less than excellent performing route… Shows the persuasive arm of politics. Bristol are a better fit for Qatar in my opinion, that said their size and physical restrictions around cargo etc...
