As far as I know, there's no new route coming. Paris going 2 x weekly across the whole summer season (rather than taking a break in July and August) is the change. So 15 weekly rotations: 2 x Paris days 1/5 2 x Malaga days 3/7 2 x Barcelona days 3/6 4 x Palma days 1/3/5/7 5 x Belfast days...

I don't know of any airline that is seriously considering DSA as an option or making any decisions today about future network strategy based on the possibility that it might re-open. Whatever is going on, I'd ignore DSA being part of it - at least for now.

Sorry if I’ve misled there. Chunky refers to a sizeable expansion and not to wide body aircraft. And it’s likely Ryanair lining up for the growth.

So maybe time to revise some predictions. Something blue has already landed. Something old may have gone away. Something new may yet come and in a fairly chunky form. Taken aback by the scale of what I’m being told.

When I said “bigger fish to fry” I meant it was a fish worth frying. They don’t have many of those in South Yorkshire. The fish on the Surrey/Sussex border may be more appealing even if they do leave the skin on down there.

I think Jet2 growth focus will be very firmly elsewhere for S26. Nothing wrong with LBA but their eyes are on a new prize for next year.

I wouldn’t be too sure. There was no love lost between LBA management and Eastern. Remember that Eastern did fly NQY post-Covid before their unceremonious departure from LBA after an aircraft was impounded ! Based on the recent Blue Islands arrival, anything could happen!
