No I’m not against the airport at all. Have grown up near and use it. Just think it’s wrong to point the finger in one political direction when they are all to blame one way or other.
Sherburn, I voted for the Pudsey MP, as I had word he didn’t like the link road route and agreed with locals (nimbys as this site likes to call them), I possibly had more info being a local, maybe you are unblickered now!
All way off on this, the Local Governent proposed the airport road! Think the word blinkered is one that springs to mind. You need to look at the dates it was cancelled. All party MPs were against it!
Interesting that you blame Labour Party for lack of development at LBA, yet Tories have been in power for over 12 years. You do realise the day after Boris came into power as PM the airport link road was cancelled!
My post points to the A65 being over congested and the main issue being commuter traffic not airport. I merely expressed my point of view on this subject.
Link road options A and B make no sense at all, both would bring more traffic to a already congested A65 in particular Horsforth roundabout. Both A and B are too expensive and unnessary we already have roads to the airport which passengers have little issue with. Airport related traffic is low...
