Rumours of long haul with Pakistan and Canada previously hinted at. Or maybe even a return from QR.
Pakistan is a non starter in my opinion. Canada could work with the right aircraft though.
Maybe some aircraft swaps between IOS and Augrignys ATR's.
EDIT: Just seen they will be chartering an ATR72 from Blue Islands. Surprise Blue Islands can spare one!
I think it's fairly obvious it's not a 14 year old born on New Years Day. More like someone that frequents other forums and bombards peoples with information, facts and knowledge that no-one else can excel..... apparently :)
Hopefully this forum won't head in the same direction as others.
We need to be realistic here. Flybe had it's financial issues, much of which was compounded by poor management decisions in the years running up to it's demise. The Embraer deal was said to be a big influence in it's financial struggles.
The E195 deals that Doncaster and Cardiff did with flybe...
No chance of a 5th aircraft just for one weekly flight. If anything they'll move FAO or PMI to a W pattern and later departure, possibly BRS given the reductions they are seeing.
Summer 2027 schedules released. It appears TFS, FUE and LPA have been dropped, and DLM and RHO both lose 1x weekly flight. In total a reduction of 7 flights per week.
Despite those Canaries not being released, Gran Canaria remains.
Ongoing disagreements is different to a dispute in my eyes.
Ongoing disagreements could simply mean ironing out some contractual issues. Dispute would refer to a relationship break down. Two very different things as I read it.
I wonder with a decline of travel to the US recently if Canada is becoming a more attractive prospect.
Demand to Canada has dropped over the past 10-15 years and there's much less regional flying UK-CA.
Any long haul route from CWL is going to be really up against it so whatever it is i hope...
Maximum payload is affected by runway length. So you cant compare AUH to somewhere based on length of flight. BRS will always be at a disadvantage with a short runway with unpredictable weather.
There's a lot of similarities between DSA and CWL. Similar types of operation, similar levels of struggles. The differences is that the Welsh Government stepped in and bought CWL before it closed, so they are the sole owner and operator of the Airport. As owner they are almost obliged to provide...
Malaga is always a late release for CWL, and given they have upped it to 5 weekly this summer I'd be surprised if they pulled out. Vuelings scheduling department aren't known for consistency in releasing schedules in one go.
Business travel has probably dropped since covid and the growth of online meetings. Then the likes of easyjet throwing capacity on domestic routes at lower frequency makes it harder for regional airlines. BRS has 4 flights a day to Edinburgh which provides frequency and cost efficency. Not many...
