As the match was on Saturday, I wonder if they flew back on the inaugural Perpignan flight the next day. That would have saved the Dragons a considerable amount of money and presented both LBA and Ryanair with an excellent marketing opportunity.

I certainly went on some of their coach trips in the late 80’s. I’m 99% sure the routing was Heathrow, Gatwick with a quick drop into Luton on the return. I wonder how many people on those coaches ~35 years ago are now active LBA F4A contributors:unsure:

Yes, I was a member but only as a magazine recipient. I contributed to the movements section every time we had a holiday to Spain or Switzerland etc. For some unknown reason I remember the Luton contributors name : Kaz Ale - no idea why.

Bizarrely, Norwich is back to 3 x daily so we have a current schedule comparable with Teesside, Humberside and Cardiff. Not great bearing in mind KLM is the only airline offering sensible / reliable connections from LBA.

The time the flight leaves is irrelevant, it's the time you joined the queue that counts. For them it was 60+ minutes, so you must have been semi lucky with 42 minutes.

I'm booked LHR-LBA this Saturday. It's the last flight of a tranche of bookings I made when Flybe 2 resurrected. Is the flight cancelled or has the airline purely stopped selling seats? The same aircraft performs the Saturday BHD flight also so will need to get to LBA somehow,
