    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

Flew up to Aberdeen this afternoon on BA - first face to face business trip in over 18 months. @KARFA also on board. You may recognise the airport we flew over on route.

AMP highlights at NCL albeit at 49% this year include = Lufthansa, Vueling, Ryanair base + additional aircraft from both Jet2 and TUI. I'm sure there's more and totally offsets the loss of the easyJet base.

Pure conjecture of course, but this would be an interesting (and not in a good way) development for LBA if it were to come off: https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/19586191.ryanair/

    What services you are using?

I find it quite astonishing and slightly worrying that Ryanair have dropped a long established and what is considered a "bread and butter" route from LBA for this winter, but taken the plunge on a new MME- ALC service. Lets hope the Ryanair -LBA relationship /partnership is still strong as we...

Leeds Rhinos play the Catalan Dragons in Perpignan this Friday so would expect an LBA sports charter in the next few days.

The Catalan Dragons have a couple of West Yorkshire fixtures over the next week or so. They have been using Doncaster recently so will be interesting to see if they come back to LBA now that the operating hours are more conducive.

BA (LCY's biggest customer) consolidated flights to LHR as most routes are duplicated so the limited demand was met by purely cancelling and re-routing. This obviously had cost benefits for IAG.

I would hazard a guess it will be RJ100 G-JOTS as it is currently positioning to Farnborough.

G-LCYM BACF Emb190 has just positioned into SOU. If Southampton FC are actually travelling up by air for tomorrows game, I wonder if this will be their chariot.

The financial consequences for a team not fulfilling a live televised fixture are huge. Bearing in mind this fixture was being beamed worldwide, was the only game available to Sky that night and linked to the poor weather forecast and restricted hours at LBA, seems a sensible decision by CPFC to...
