I've yet to fly the A359 and A35X. From what I have heard from various sources they are excellent aircraft to fly in. Definitely, on my bucket list, I'm even tempted to choose my next flight using those types regardless of price.
I have to say, I have travelled on a Qatar 788, and the seats were really comfortable on that aircraft. One has to wonder if it was the same seating manufacturer that outfitted that aircraft.
I see one issue, the ME3 wouldn't be very happy as a direct service to Bangkok would impact on their business model. In saying that, it would be a real coup for Manchester to get a direct service to Bangkok, connection possibilities from there are enormous.
Looking at the pier 4 situation, Personally I would demolish T1 in its entirety, as it is no longer fit for purpose, extend T2 to connect with T3, build pier 4, perhaps room for a pier 5, and refit T3 extending it to create a kind of pier 6. Would that be feasible? I'm no expert, but to my...
The powers that be in the UAE need to bite the bullet and consolidate. Trying to outdo each other will only lead to the problems we see with Etihad right now, not to mention the political situation on the Arabian peninsula right now. Blockading Qatar is a move doomed to failure, and...
I have to say, being fair, that my experience of the 777 has been good so far, with Qatar being the best. Have flown Etihad, Emirates and Qatar 777's. Having said that, compared to the Middle East, and Far East carriers, Western carriers have an inferior product and have a LOT of catching up to do.

To be fair, I'm not surprised, Manchester airport will not rank highly until the Transformation Project has been concluded, and there is no longer any disruption due to ongoing works.
Yes, I do apologise, I mean the old control tower and associated structures. The reason I ask is that by getting rid of those buildings, you open up the space to be used more constructively. I guess I shall have to be patient, and wait and see what happens as the works progress. Thanks, Scottie Dog.
Warton is a BAe field. Used primarily for testing BAe aircraft, such as the Typhoon. If a 744F was there, may have been collecting parts to deliver elsewhere, or vice versa.
