As I won't be flying out until 27th January & therefore won't be airside until then, would one of the main contrbutors to this thread like to draw a diagram for us? The mechanics of airside are actually quite interesting in themsleves!

One of the misleading points made in the article was that no KLM/AirFrance staff were based at LBA. True - but the hard workers of Cityhoppers must be a bit miffed!
Little bit of a shock to see that HUM flies well over half we do to AMS.

Used the "new system" Sunday am. Like a lot folks, my clan leave their cars at Bhowani
Towers & I run them up to LBA. Lots of happy pax, no moans and 1 million times better than the M62 which was having severe problemas again this am (Monday).
And I get a spare car for the week!

Could there also be a simpler explanation............? Whilst snow breaks/tunnels are useful in Nordic countries, the position of the EJ banners might have potential to dump snow on 14/32 whereas the railings let snow and wind blow straight through.

True: plane did FRA in am and OSL (Fornebu) in afternoon.
Used the OSL route frequently, and vividly remember the steep approach to Fornebu with the cockpit door open so we could AAHHH at the view!

You should have no real problem. Come to the top of the old M1, marked "CITY CENTRE" which lands you through the Dark Arches into City Square. Turn left at what might be called the Queens Hotel Corner, and make sure you DON'T get in the nearside lane as that will take you...
