I guess some pilots would rather retain their current slot time and push their luck with a change afterwards than wait on stand for their desired departure potentially delaying the slot?

What you get when the market at LBA is so heavily focused on traditional profitable bucket and spade holiday routes. One Winter rotation departing in the morning thus it's quiet.
