Booked for early April with Jet2 Holidays to Rome. I looked at the same package booking flights separately and hotel through Expedia and the Jet2 deal was 15% cheaper. Comparable flights from MAN were more expensive with Jet2, though Ryanair was slightly cheaper. But I don't get up in the middle...

A heavy rail link directly to the airport is perfectly possible from an engineering point of view. This isn't the Alps, neither is it London or Manchester where budgets and aspirational vision are far greater.

En route from LBA to JFK with Aer Lingus using slightly dodgy onboard wifi. Terminal was heaving at LBA first thing but was coping fairly well. Flight was about 10 mins early so transfer in Dublin was easy. US immigration took around 15 minutes which beats doing it in JFK where the waits are...
