Regards air transat Toronto summers charters from memory 1997 it finished due to a certain mr W Savage leaving his position at Lba
And moving to Manchester from then additional Toronto services started from Manchester that was my understanding at the time
Let’s hope WIzz can keep there share here as said in earlier post FR are gunning for WIzz here and are ramping up on the key destinations knowing history with FR they will remove the competition then frequency change reduction to maximise I would hope if any future expansion they will try...
Also FR have ramped up the completion on most routes this winter as some days they are following each other over the north sea, knowing
FR their timings and fares will be more favourable . I do hope this is not the slow start of a gradual withdrawal - how's Liverpool comparing with others have...
Yes well said we have limited routes into mainland Europe now X2 airlines competing on most Eastern Europe routes this is LBA ! will be interesting to see if we can substain this
Can't help but feel dissapointed that FR are to start Bucharest, from LBA this will lead to more competition and could see eventually off Wizz, as per earlier posts i can see a pattern with FR will be on all Wizz routes by the next year or so.
My taughts about WIzz at Lba is there are welcome and seem to be doing ok generally and as previous posts they do seems to cater for the polish /Rumania travellers mostly but noticed recently most of Ryanair fights flight to the same destination seem to be on the same day and in some cases...
From memory the sky service A333 operating for about 4 days covering for the based Airtours B757 in march 2001 time approx but as per norm it diverted to manchester on the last day of planned operation due to the fog
I agree going back to the council could result in further problems, from my experience from watching the zoom videos from a couple of years ago does not give me any confidence in these people ,they are a one trip pony all they keep going on is about climate emergency & cycle paths. Maybe in time...
I remember meeting at the Yorkshire aeroplane club (now multiflight ) on a Monday night to pack the monthly rotate in envelopes and sticking the stamp and address labels on to each subscribing member, i also noted at the time a certain member was Gordon Dennison
Yes i am thinking the same - just observing FR24 last night about 9.30pm x2 EZY A320's 1 into Liverpool & 1 into Man followed by KLM 738 into to MAN then our E175 for LBA i am sure these must be capacity or as per normal the cheaper flights are with EZY
Hmmm - interesting can't help but think this still part of the due diligence & if this bid should be successful it could take a while for airport operations to start again, if this is the intentions of the potential new owners. in my view the longer this takes the harder it will become to get...
I agree with the Wizz advertising situation but maybe at the moment whist things are a bit still close the DSA closure situation, maybe when flights get started in November this might be the best time to shout from the rooftops - just my view
