One of the disadvantages of being a Leeds Bradford Jet2 punter is the increased likelihood of your flight being delayed, especially if you're going to Gerona, Jersey, Prague, Palma, Faro and so on. In other words, any route routinely serviced by a 737-300. Something passengers at other Jet2...
Stuff like this reminds me of Dr Who and The Genesis of The Daleks. One of the apparatchik scientists was so obsequious he stated that 'Davros is always right. About everything.' Even the good folk of North Korea aren't that sycophantic to their leader.
Mark Chadwick must be running out of...
I've been reading much the same stuff. It seems that because the removal of CAS is broadly in line with what Chairman Ros said would happen, everything is hunkydory and reason for celebration. That's the impression I'm getting from the DSA supporters - but those who aren't fooled are now coming...
Perhaps it's time for KLM to ditch the Cityhopper division, together with its boss, and roll it into Mainline. It appears the division isn't healthy and do the passengers know the difference between the two outfits anyway? KLM is KLM!
Reading the DSA support pages on Facebook, the same theme is recurring. Folk saying stuff like, 'when is it reopening?', 'which airlines and holiday companies are flying from there?', 'are the brochures for 2026 printed yet?', 'I'm desperate for a holiday and I'll only fly from Doncaster'. And...
It's rare these days to hear aircrew request a RW14 departure for performance reasons. It was an everyday occurrence before the runway was extended then became less common as newer aircraft with more powerful engines came along. It was a routine request for the Eurocypria A320 in the 1990s.
The 733s have been a pile of s**t for years. The only thing they can be relied upon to do in the summer is break down and this is something that Jet2's Leeds Bradford passengers have had to put up with since the remaining aircraft were all moved there. Hardly fair, is it?
So Leeds Bradford is really going for it on the passenger side whilst East Midlands is doing likewise with its freight business. In the meantime, Doncaster remains roughly equidistant and...closed. Does rather put DSA's position into perspective.
