As someone who was made redundant 3 times over my career, the idea that the people on the ground know what is happening doesn't wash with me. Big surprise on all 3 occasions which resulted in walk outs to the pub in tears
Sadly all this could make Jet2 more likely to operate into Donny when it reopens. They could operate some of the overnight arrivals into Donny instead of LBA as they currently now do to Luton. Also close enough to minibus the crews to/from LBA.
They also show on the Real Time Trains website. Quite common for bus connections to be showing at various locations across the country such as Peterborough to King's Lynn
Here we go again!!! Videos of planes struggling to land at LBA in the storm on press websites. Have these disaster merchants nothing else better to do?
I can't help but wonder if what Jet2 are doing sending our late arrivals into Luton was to test such an arrangement as a contingency for precisely this outcome?
I cannot help but note that there are only 4 arrivals between 10:00 and 13:00 tomorrow. This is where we should be looking to rack 'em and stack 'em. Loads of scope for more flights and bugger all that the antibodies can do about it
