The trouble with offering such deal / travel agents doing such deals it’ll be limited to one week. It’s a lead in price - I imagine it’ll be within a bracket. And the £520 is the lowest.

They have to have been added quite a few months ago as from the booking system they are full (FLIGHT FULL). Sshhh.. Don't tell those that say the A321NEO's will never come. Or even a CEO. It appear it is coming to rescue something.

    Route Development & Rumours

Ryanair seem quite content at the LBA base. Turns over the desired revenue and profit. Will adding another aircraft dilute some Yields? Where will that aircraft also go without diluting some yield (by increasing frequencies to Canaries, mainland Spain, Portugal)? Ryanair don't seem big in...

ATH - Has gone from anyone can come when they want to very slot constrained. PVK - Probably one on the list that could easily be served by Jet2 out of LBA. KLX - Niche. MJT - Niche. SMI - NEW for Summer 26. Also niche. JTR - Limited by hotel availability. Based on the fact Jet2 still serve JTR...

What is predictable is Jet2 sometimes start destinations from the bases that can absorb the new destination, have a large market. Unlike TUI though they will happily expand to other destinations and bases. So we may not see it this year or next. Or even the year after. But maybe one day we will.

There is no issues with Jet2’s neo into LBA. It’s when. Not if. And will be sooner then some members think.

Off Topic Geopolitics, Power Plays and the Future of UK Aviation?

It makes me laugh this mandate for Sustainable aviation fuel. How any government, any minister, or any civil servant enemy make a mandate for x% of fuel to be from SAF, yet they don't build or have approved any SAF plants in the UK. And even if they did due to the bureaucracy within the UK...

https://travelweekly.co.uk/in-depth/expect-jet2holidays-to-launch-long-haul-programme-by-2030 I've said it before, I'll say it again, and I won't be surprised, but I think there are some A330's order within that Airbus contract that are not confirmed to the public. One would imagine when...

Weather & Technical Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

I believe the Funchal by Jet2 was a Jet2 wide delay of flights by 24 hours and nothing related to the airport its self. It did leave - today the 6th.

    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

And with all due respect to you that’s how you would handle it. Some people in life may find it as an escapism for an hour or two to inform members of news or share a few thoughts. If that’s there way of escaping the reality of the very sad circumstances then we, as forum members, should respect...

    Leeds Bradford - General Thread

It sounds like an easyJet problem. And a swissport problem. Nothing to do in the remotest fashion with LBA. They don't get called "p1ssport" within the aviation circles for nothing. Delays due snow - are a combination of all 3/4 problems. LBA, Airline, Handling Agents and Natural Acts of God.

A new airport.... South Yorkshire Airport City?

Given how quick slow it is to get anything done in this country, thanks to the incompetence of a over bloated civil service, useless unintelligent bunch of MP's, and a cabinet full of weak members with a PM with a backbone of a leaf, I would say they be waiting a long time.

    Road, Rail & Access Issues

Oh I love Liebour. More importantly I don't think we needed a link between Leeds and Bradford if I'm honest given the frequent train opportunities, the frequent bus services (which need increasing - build it and they shall come). It didn't serve the areas where it would have generated much...

    TUI Airways

It would appear history is repeating its self. Luckily I believe the long haul operations will survive but short haul will move away. I feel for TUI though - the minute easyJet figure out they can make more money offering their own easyJet holidays on flights or Ryanair can make more money...

    TUI Airways

It would appear they are cutting the long haul from other operations and redeploying the fleet elsewhere. Sadly it is no growth and a simple replacement. It isn't up to TUI re: that 787 but rather the lease company. I would suspect given it's a relatively early model B787 and therefore cheaper...

    TUI Airways

It's what you get when you get ignorant top board who believe there product is the best and not to adapt. It's what you get when management do not go for expansion (new planes - A321's to replace B75 etc) and growth but instead the same ol stale mate. Had they had A321's etc they could have...

    Road, Rail & Access Issues

https://www.hackneycitizen.co.uk/2025/12/02/tfl-projects-cheaper-planning-financing/ Further to the above rant here is more evidence - this time associated with cost. The thing that rings my alarm bells is and I quote this sentence: "Simply put, prolonged development and consultation...

Leeds’ Transport Infrastructure: A Roadblock to Prosperity and the Path Forward

I'm of the tin hot foil opinion that this is traffic and speed management of slowing you down to under 20 or 10mph to maybe even stop. It just controls your speed that is all.
