I think the term "lower the ILS" was probably the cause of the confusion. Lower the localiser structure would have been more accurate.

Yes, indeed LBA is a J2 dominated airport. However, J2 are predominantly a bucket and spade operator whereas FR and U2 offer much more in the way of city routes, currently underserved from LBA.

I have previously commented on the non existent Easy jet advertising in respect of advertising hoardings at LBA which I find quite baffling for a relatively new operator the airport is seemingly keen to keep. Plenty of Jet 2 and TUI visibility.

It's all gone very quiet on the 'base' front.....
