I believe demolition is due to start soon but no idea ref timeline of the completion of these new stands.
I’m sure Pier 3 will eventually be announced, once the budget exists for it. Current T2 completion and T3 expansion are now the priorities.
I arrived at MAN via the station yesterday at 10.15am, firstly noticing the T1 signage is still in place - is this the responsibility of MAN / MAG or the station operator to replace such signs? Once in the skylink, the signage had been updated. Arriving into the now T3 departures area, I only...
According to FR24 it went back to Dubai.
Meanwhile, A6-EUQ has just arrived again (she was stuck at MAN from Saturday until Tuesday I think it was) and is one of four repatriation flights currently planned today into MAN.
Arrived into T3 at 17:30 with Ryanair from Dublin. I can confirm signage within T3 arrivals has been updated to take away any reference to T1.
Exiting the baggage reclaim area to the left and noticed the ceiling (lights, electrics?) are being removed at the old T3 check in area (where Flybe used...
The airbridge’s at T1 Pier C are staying as part of T2. As for the two at gate 12, not sure but this gate will be made into three code C aircraft eventually.
These videos in my opinion are pointless until we have the final product in action. Although that won’t be perfect in everyone’s opinion, it’s got to be better than the current set up from what I have read and heard.
It doesn’t help that taxiway Delta is closed in places due to WIP, this particular NOTAM expires tomorrow evening.
There is another NOTAM for work on taxiway Lima which expires 15th March, this completion of works allows the complete opening of the new dual taxiway system.
I think that’s more to do with the dual taxiway system isn’t yet fully signed off by the CAA therefore it can’t be published. With the current WIP on taxiway Delta, all aircraft are using taxiway Echo which is slightly delaying some departures and arrivals onto stand.
I don’t know for sure if it was resurfacing or repairs to the pavement bays, because it I recall, there was no tarmac in this area previously, it’s part of the new dual taxiway system. Looking at FR24, since the A380 went back to it’s usual stand in T2, it’s using a slightly different route to...
Watching the Flght stream on You Tube last night, they commented it was due to taxiway resurfacing. So maybe the A380 is too big to bypass it.
Whilst this morning I noticed the two stand 12 airbridge’s were attached to the aircraft so passengers must be entering into pier B, coming down the...
Thanks for the info.
Yes, I’ve just checked the NOTAM’s and for it’s still valid ending on 30th March.
I’m pretty sure aircraft are now and can do in the future use taxiway Echo whilst the A380 uses taxiway Delta. Although maybe there is a restriction in aircraft size using the dual taxiway...
Just seen a photo of fencing around the small Jet2 building where stand 209/210 used to be. Possibly finally coming down? Would enable new stands 309/310 to be activated…?
