Went through on the 16th at what could have been a busy time with Saudia, Emirates & Qatar flights all leaving at about the same time. Signposting on arrival from the NEC needs improvement as there was a lot of confusion. Pax joining the security queue from both the lifts and the shuttle...

A bit of smoke & mirrors I think. The announcent of completion, I think was just a PR excercise to try to cut down on the bad press. When we travelled in Jan, the standard queue on the first floor was just about reaching the boarding card scanners so there was probably about a 10/15 minute...

I went through a couple of weeks ago and the building work continues. There are still a number of "pinch-points" where queues could build up - Even in January.

Booked EZY to Edinburgh on 16th Feb, returning on 18th Feb. No hold baggage so should be able to get straight through.

The last time Labour were in power, there were suggestions of shutting BHX and building a new airport near Rugby.

Flew back from Knock on the 24th. It was a struggle getting to the airport avoiding the fallen trees but once at NOC, everything went very smoothly.
