I think I have mentioned before, a benefit of a base with respect to city flights is that you can be at work earlier and catch a later flight back home.

I think one thing the council should consider is improving access roads. Each time I have been to Bristol airport, there have been long queues from Lulsgate Bottom to the traffic island at the top of the hill

My only issue with an away based service to Amsterdam is that they are on CET, so by the time you get into the city, or elsewhere, it’s past 11. Will likely be sticking with KLM.

Easyjet are losing biz by not running Birmingham services all the time IMO. I need to go up to Edinburgh next week and would have checked the easyJet website as first port of call. But as there is no service, I am being ripped off for over £200 by FlyMayBe.

Friends, who live in Kenilworth, flew First to Melbourne a couple of years ago on Emirates from Heathrow. When I asked them about the route, they said it was door-to-door via limo. I think 6 or 7 hours in a limo from Glasgow would prove a little too much.

Not being one in “the know”, I would look at the new route as easyJet utilising additional resource at Glasgow rather than the pre-cursor of a Birmingham base. A twice daily service, one at the start of the day and the other near the end would fill four short flights with business travellers...
