Archive Spotting Movements Log & Heads Up

I understand a lot of the alternative/strange ATC routings of late have been mostly weather derived. Over the past two to three weeks we've had extreme changes in temperatures don't forget. A lot of you situated around the Leeds area will note that it's been a case of one day sunny, the next...

    Pakistan International Airlines

Well then LS27 it really looks like it's got to be an Airbus A332 then doesn't it? Depending on configuration however a B772 can be as little as 300 seats..? Other than that you are really looking at some B787's which thinking about it have been around for a couple of years now haven't they...

    Vueling

I heard from a mate (who's intel can sometimes be mixed) saying that bookings had been mixed! He mentioned that in terms of bookings there seems to be a lot more inbound to LBA, as in Spanish pax as oppose to the other way round which you cannot complain about - Tourism into Leeds and further...

    Monarch Airlines

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that Monarch have in fact started a Madrid route from either Gatwick or Birmingham..? Could be a possibility with Monarch daring to give routes a try from Leeds; Grenoble, Munich etc. Couldn't be too much to ask if Ryanair were to start a Madrid route..! I...

    Monarch Airlines

As much as it is good news, I can't help but think after putting in orders for new Airbus aircraft over the past few years they are now ordering Boeing aircraft, unless they envisage their airline to be a mixed fleet of types. Also sad to see AA and AB go, as well as the last of their B757...

    What services you are using?

My dad recently used easyJet from Manchester, but to Hamburg. I think easyJet are probably the cheapest people to fly with when wanting to get to Germany. He booked well in advance (3-4 Months) and it cost him £100 return with a bag which isn't bad going!

    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Runways, Aprons and Taxiways. Unfortunately, Instagram is a solely smart-phone app. It does have a website and allows you to browse through yours and the people you follows' photos, but doesn't let you search.

    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Runways, Aprons and Taxiways. I've just had a look at the photo and there does seem to be a lot of heavy equipment up there! If they're finishing their work on the cables this week, and only just pricing up the cost of new stands, could we be looking at them possibly planning the works...

Safety First Air Accidents and Incidents discussions

There are breaking reports that the inevitable has happened, an "oil-slick" has apparently been found off the coast of Vietnam but nothing has officially been confirmed. They mentioned it on the opening headlines on BBC but nothing has been put onto an online article on their website. An...

Airport Consultative Committee [Questions & Responses]

I've been away from the forum for quite some time now but intend to use it more often. White Heather, once again a great write-up, and effectively gave me my update in one post of what has been going on. Re the buses, didn't the airport say that a York bus route was never going to work not so...

I flew with Jet2 from East Midlands for a short Malaga trip, starting last Thursday and returning last Sunday. Overall it was a great trip! They have quite a nice set-up down there at EMA; easy, clean, not too busy. Service was great and flew on the original old bird G-CELS both ways. Outbound...

Using Leeds Bradford Airport Questions & Reviews

Glad to hear you had a reasonable to good experience through the new terminal. I have spoken to a lot of people about how they have found the new infrastructure and I have to say everyone seems impressed..! I think the availability of more seating and I suppose the 'more to do' feeling has...
