I heard from someone whom is normally a very good source, that Aurigny Air Services' managers were spotted in Leeds and presumed to be at an LBA event, however that was near on a year ago!
Well that wasn't something I expected Thomson to do! Maybe extra capacity during the day at least!
It must be a while since Thomson had any late night flights from LBA! I remember as a child being on one of their Tenerife flights on a late Saturday night/early Sunday morning flight which was...
Re: Leeds Bradford - General Thread
Don't know if anyone has noticed but Google Earth has updated the whole of the Leeds area and LBA! It is not yet viewable through Google Maps.
You can now see the new apron layout with; 2 B738's from Ryanair, a BMI Embraer, around 4 Jet2 B33's, the Thomas...
That is extremely interesting! It has been a subject that has been mentioned continuously for a while now, but the most likely candidate for any such gulf service was looking to be Emirates. Up until the continued expansion over at Manchester, Qatar have obviously noticed Emirates seizing market...
Is that a new livery or another stand-in aircraft..?!
Without getting too off topic, the JMC colours always brightened up the ramp for me..! The Lime Green was very unique! Did JMC operate any flights from LBA..?
Perhaps, easyJet have been tempted to stand back and see how Monarch do this...
I must say, Travel Agents used to offer the better deals for currency exchange I found, especially Thomas Cook in Yeadon, a lot better than the Post Office, or any other bank!
As far as I'm aware, G-LSAL as completed her duties with Jet2, thus has left the GLA base. G-LSAM has been covering the duties on a temporary basis and will also complete her LS duties in the not too distant future.
Hi all,
I don't know if anyone else has spotted this on the LBA Website, but a new link has appeared at the top of the LBA Home Page advertising 'LBAPlus'..!
From what I have seen it looks to be link up with LBA and an airline to offer free holidays to anyone who wants to sign up for free...
Re: British Midland International (BMI)
The new logo has been tweaked a little and does look quite nice, although the advert is saying up to twice daily, and I can't see where it says 3 times daily..?
What amazes me is that Low Cost carriers still have some sort of Information Desk and yet the company you would have thought would keep them, has announced the removal of them!
It all boils down to logistics etc. Yes the A330 would be a great aircraft for such an Orlando route, but I think an issue was mentioned before was the Take-Off Performance, with the Chevin, for a fully loaded aircraft on day's when the weather isn't the best it can be for aircraft performances...
Marrakesh is currently showing up on the Jet2 Destinations map, with flights being shown from LBA and NCL - St Petersburg and Iceland aren't currently showing at all!
In the booking system:
Iceland - LBA/NCL/EDN
Marrakesh - LBA/NCL
St. P. - LBA/NCL/EDN
I was unaware that the flights were on...
Re: Humberside Airport - Thread
Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if HUY suddenly saw one or two ski charters popping up.. You never know Eastern may do this, reflecting FlyBe's model into Europe..?!
I have used lowcostholidays before and you had the typical option of just hotel or flight and...
Innsbruck will one to watch I say! They operate mainly B757's into there over the Winter months (Nov-April). Do they do flights during the Summer like Thomson/Thomas Cook as well does anyone know..?
They may reduce it down to one aircraft, on a similar set-up as Ryanair and then have the odd W...
Well with BMIRegional also looking to be setting up new routes due to the new management, it will be one to look out for! I have never flown Eastern, but I have heard they can be reasonable pricing wise, and also offer a good customer service!
Interesting news from the BBC Article posted just over an hour ago..!
Birmingham Airport plane skids off runway
Flights were suspended for two hours at Birmingham Airport after a plane skidded off the runway.
The airport said the Monarch-chartered flight ZB467, from Nice in France, skidded...
That is good news!
It should also mean that the seating capacity on some of the routes TCX didn't operate, being; Faro and Malaga should be higher, which in turn can only be good news for Jet2 and the figures on their aircraft!
