Interesting that the recently published ACL Start of Summer 26 slot report show's Ryanair operating Leeds/Bradford to Cork route 2x weekly Monday & Saturdays using the Boeing 737-MAX8-200's
Looks like Jet2 are operating a few charters out of LBA in next few weeks.
Sunday, March 29th = Boeing 737-300 to Lourdes
Saturday April 4th = Boeing 737-800 to/From Turin
Friday. April 17th = Boeing 737-800 to Kristiansand
Monday, April 20th = Boeing 737-800 from Kristiansand
Newcastle to Antalya now 5x weekly for summer 2026 operating Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri & Sat whilst Dalman operates 2x weekly Wed & Sun.
Is that a reduction for Sun Express?

I see the Turkish airline Southwind Aitlines has had its ban lifted and regained regulatory approval to fly back into the European Airspace.
I wonder if LBA will be back in there future plans?

Yes listed as Edinburgh & Aberdeen.
But that didn’t stop Virgin little red doing Manchester, Edinburgh & Aberdeen whilst flybe (mk2) used them for routes Belfast City, Amsterdam & Leeds/Bradford.
I wonder if Loganair may apply for the Heathrow remedy slots that have become available once again which were part of the deal when British Airways bought bmi British Midland in 2012.
These slots can be used on UK domestic routes and have been used by both Virgin Little Red & Flybe in the past.
Few more reasons the airport would refuse it is that the Airbus A340-600 has a triple axle bogie, not so good for our Concrete runway which breaks apart so easily. We also have no Cargo facilities to handle it and where you going to park it?
Cargo at Leeds isn’t happening anytime soon
