A couple of easyjet diversions from LPL today. A320 (G-EZWR, U23372, BCN-LPL) and A320 (G-EZTK. U23424, FAO-LPL). LPL appear to have had some power problems affecting ATC. FR24 is however showing U33372 as going direct to LPL. FR24.now saying that U23424 is diverting to FAO.

Now saying 01:53 on FR24. Aircraft is ZM409.

I guess EK are doing all they can, to get rid of what must be a huge backlog. I applaud the airline for doing what they can in what must be a logistical nightmare.

Is that the first time that BHX has had 3 B747's on the ground at the same time that are it's 'own' flights i.e. not diverts?

Looking at Google maps the Solihull Moors ground is next to the giant Land Rover factory on Damson Parkeay. I'd be surprised if there isn't' a bus service from the A45.

FR24 is showing Silkway B747-400F (4K-BCR, AZG391) due from Baku (GYD) at 11:36. No departure from BHX showing.

An interesting visitor. Falcon 50EX (ZS-LAC, GRA51), is due from N'Djamena (NDJ), Chad at 19:06. No departure from BHX showing.

A320-200 G-EZUT is certainly listed on FR24 as operating BHX-AGP (U26627) tomorrow, with an ETD of 09:15. I'm sure that an airline the size of easyjet, will have contingency plans for events like this.

The next F1 Grand Prix, is in Shanghai on 21 April. I wonder if BHX could get anything for that?
