I think BV is already on the 787 from Bristol albeit at the end of the year..
I think most people have it covered in terms of predictions. I would like to think TUI would consider another LH Caribbean route, maybe Barbados or Jamaica as the obvious ones and base a 787 out of bristol. Maybe this...
I don't think they will stop given the passengers that use the route how they have invested in routes at the airport over the last couple of years. As for Heathrow, who knows!
I really though Ryanair might have added a route from one of their bases in the canaries or Palma. All I believe would...
If NQY has some serious intent to get a hub link to Amsterdam, it may have now been scuppered somewhat if KLM are cutting back on UK regional links as suggested in other posts.
I am aware that the airport team have made no secret of trying to secure a big hub link in the absence of any link to...
Good update...thanks LY
I still find it strange that they adopt the stance they do on the runway. Whichever way you position the argument, the facts are it is a limitation to either potential routes or airlines looking maybe at Bristol... this is a master plan for the next couple of decades...
What’s the TUI winter LH at CWL? One offs or full programme. Makes no sense to do that for winter only..
I don’t understand why cancun isnt year round.. having worked for TC overseas in cancun I can tell you back then that it was one of the biggest winter programmes after goa..
I was wondering what the set up would be. According to Wiki, seems they are having a transfer of aircraft across the group with the only 320 they have going to the new set up 'TC Balearics' along with the now defunct TC Belgium aircraft... Their 757 300's are off to Condor and Condors 321's to...
Not sure if the timings permit but it will be great next year to see potentially 5 (with the 787) TUI aircraft on the apron! I hope the additional LH route works well next year and maybe this could lead to a year round route or maybe one more (Jamaica, Cuba or Barbados).. I see they have at...
Good news but not great timing on some of the routes. Hope that doesn’t give BRS the same fate as BHX.
Would have been nice for a couple more routes but good to cement these and see where it leads
Yep 787 9 and they also have 330's but not sure for how long. I believe they use this at EDI frequently. A350, I think the former CEO said in a recent airport publication that Bristol were almost operationally ready for this aircraft (whatever that means)
well TCX are ok then with only the 200 series should they wish to consider BRS (unlikley given their MAN focus). It also rings into play Etihad with their current fleet. I believe their expanded airport will be open soon so maybe they might think about rout expansion also.
Agree totally which is why I cant understand their current position... This was the case with the previous plans. I cant see things changing in that respect and with pretty much every airport surrounding Bristol having better capability, you have to wonder if they really believe what they are...
Interesting read in the Bristol post today. I cant find the original images to focus in on them to see the detail. Very clear again that they are ruling out a runway extension and relying on what they know today and projected advances in aircraft technology for LH (Sure this was the case...
I will look forward to your update lokal yokel after one of your visits to the drop in.. I’m sure you will have s last no list to put too them representing most of the commentary from this forum..
