I definitely agree. We had a daily 757 serving Newark and loads weren't too bad (were they!?). And now we can't fill an A320!
If tickets have been so poor, what is all the talk about two other transatlantic routes? If they can't make NYC work daily, or Boston...how will they make anything...
They really need to issue a statement if they are to save face. People calling them a "tinpot" airline on twitter. Their lack of statement just makes them look worse!
I used United and their service was just OK. I would rather pay for a cheaper ticket on a more modern plane, using my own entertainment instead of substandard IFE. There must be faith in the service if it is daily too. Go primera!
It's definitely an exciting time for Primera. Like others have said, I'd like to see them walk before they run. As a BHX enthusiast, I feel constant trepidation with new start ups. I have just looked at Newark over the late May Bank Holiday and their prices are very reasonable. £360 return Sat...
I remember flying on this Monarch DC10 to Orlando Sandford as a kid. We had a massive delay going out and I can remember the whole plane smelling of a toilet! Monarch really will be missed... And also, what a beast the DC10 was!
