    Ryanair

A nice increase from the 72(?) weekly flights at the peak of this summer. I was looking forward to more new destinations but I guess we'll have to wait.. nonetheless a healthy increase, hopefully one which is sustainable with the other based airlines.

    Ryanair

Surely if the new routes for this winter carry over to summer we will need a 4th based aircraft or substantial increases in non-based rotations. The question now is will there be further route expansion, I know it's been said many times but many of their city destinations in Eastern Europe...

Airbus A321 LZ-BHK inbound to LBA operating today's BH Air rotation from Burgas. Am I right in thinking the frequent variations in the equipment used on the route is down to aircraft shortages rather than loads? I recall seeing an A330-200 being used on the route last(?) year and only a few...

    Monarch Airlines

Pretty much as expected. It will be interesting to see if they base 1x A321 at LBA in addition to an A320 as previously rumoured.

It did operate in the afternoon arriving just after 14:00, I wasn't sure why this was but it was appearing on the LBA website and flightradar with a 14:10 arrival as well however the timetable on Thomson's website states it always operates in the morning.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up Well the charts of LBA I have confirm that it is an oval pattern just as in any other standard holding pattern globally at a waypoint, NDB, VOR etc.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up Yes, a normal oval-shaped hold over the LBA NDB with the aircraft maintaining separation by flying at different altitudes.

    Pakistan International Airlines

Yes I was also under that impression, both due to its size/ turning circle and also its takeoff performance. It would probably be able to operate to Athens but not direct. I did some research on this a while back using Boeing's own performance data for the B777 and estimated the takeoff and...

Very good new in my opinion guaranteeing the future expansion of LBA and showing the commitment of Ryanair here as well.

Still seems a bit fishy to me, but that does sound much more plausible.

Leeds Bradford Airport - Video Thread

At 2.00 there is the sound of the autopilot disconnecting coming from the cockpit, but as we know the PIA A310's don't do CAT3 autolands and runway 14 doesn't have autoland equipment anyway. Anyone know what it could be?? Autothrottle??

Rumours about new destinations or airlines?

I believe that there could be a gap in the market at LBA for Monarch to expand into, as there aren't that many charter flights at the moment since the loss of the Thomson base.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up I saw it last night as I was onboard TCX8127 on the right hand side, would have been VERY surprised if I hadn't read through the posts in this forum whilst at Palma!

    Shaheen Air International

wow!! IF the airport can pull this one off it will be great! Would they count the flight as two different sectors with passengers travelling also between LBA and Toronto??

    Runways, Aprons and Taxiways

Re: Leeds Bradford Airport - Runways, Aprons and Taxiways. All it does is proves that the Boeing 777-200 is cleared to operate from LBA which we were pretty certain of before.

Dash 8-300 G-WOWD is now operating as VH-QQM for Skytrans Airlines in northern Australia for anyone interested. Don't know where G-WOWC went though.
