Well being 2.3mp compared to the camera's 6mp they ARE lower quality :lol: I did upload a pic to the photo gallery recently, but as these were taken at LBA I just put them here. If you wish to move them to the gallery feel free. I've posted a couple of videos on Youtube that I took...

Thanks for the thanks lol. C L I was stood by the Tarn to take the 757 pic. Here's a few more, taken with camcorder whilst filming, so lower quality than the ones with the camera.

Any camera with a half-decent zoom will do for LBA, seeing as how close you are to the runway, especially when at the cemetery. I'm still using my 6 yr old Kodak with a mere-by-todays-standards 6mp, although it does have a 12x optical zoom. And seeing C L's pics on a sunny day has just given me...

Thomson 757 just on approach - first time I've seen one here. Shame it's not the 767 though :sad:

Todays news states that IAG have lost £211 million, much worse than they expected. Hope that doesn't make them reconsider using LBIA.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up What looked like a Nimrod just flew over - 4 engines, circular dish on the roof. Amazing sight. I went onto the Multiflight webcam to see it land but it didn't. And as I type it's just flown past again!! I'm getting the camera out in case it comes round again...

775 scheduled for 16.30 just flying over Leeds now - only 5 hours late! Followed by Jet2 348 around 1 hour ahead of schedule. Quite a contrast isn't it?

I thought it was Otley - at least that's where they used to film Hotten scenes. Otley International Airport heh heh!! Does that mean EastEnders has Walford Airport, the world's busiest????

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up The Strategic Airlines a320 has just flown by on approach. A PIA 777 has just flown by around 10,000. For a moment I thought it was heading here, but it's MAN bound.

I went up to see it, and they WERE busy! An old lady on the bus said they must be going to see Concorde and asked if that's where I was headed. I wasn't the only one on the bus going too. I stood near the fence at the tunnel. I'd never seen it before and I was so excited, especially when it did...

Hopefully they will wait a few more months, meaning when it does come it will be light, which makes for a better viewing experience.

Surely a check on FR24 shortly after the scheduled departure time from Islamabad will be proof? If it does say 777 I'm going up to see it. Yeah it'll be dark but still...

Re: Air Band Radio Scanners My Uniden Bearcat 3500XLT cost £149, down from £200, around 4 years ago - unfortunately in that time it hasn't come down in price much and still retails for around the 200 mark. Standing at the cemetery in Yeadon or on top of Otley Chevin I sometimes pick up aircraft...

Re: Aircraft Flying Overhead The Beluga popped up on FR24 again and I've just managed to see it around 13,000ft SE of Leeds, getting a great view through the binocs. I'd never seen one before so I am thrilled!! I tried to take a pic but couldn't focus properly. I'll try again next time.

Re: Aircraft Flying Overhead I just used FR24 playback to see the 787, and noticed the Beluga was also south of Leeds. Hopefully they'll be flying over Yorkshire again.
