...and in the latest update, having started operating 4x weekly from BHX in April, SV have cut a majority of their schedule in May to just 3x flights for the entire month of May on the 17th, 21st and 30th of the month. Back to 4x weekly in June as things stand!

    Route Development & Rumours

Seems re-introduction of the 77W has been pushed back to the 1st June anyway!

    Qatar Airways

great to have them back daily for sure. interesting the in the schedule change...

    Lufthansa

The Lufthansa website has now been updated and re-introduced 3x daily from 1st June (was originally off sale until 1st July) but stull showing flights as CityLine CRJs??

Weather & Technical Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

I imagine the cost and availability of aviation fuel is likely the biggest factors, not the direct conflict itself.

Weather & Technical Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

The sooner this ordeal is over the better, but for the foreseeable i can imagine much of the same continuing until a resolution is found! - Conflict in India/Pakistan - Air India Crash - Iran Crisis It would be nice to have a boring and uneventful 12 month period at some point!

    Route Development & Rumours

And with Pakistan being one of the most heavily impacted countries with the current fuel crisis, i cant imagine any airline there making any decisions in the near future.

    Wizz Air

How odd.... unfortunately not unheard off with Wizzair. Still in the drop-down menu as a "New" route but indeed no dates bookable! It was all looking so positive a few months back....

    Qatar Airways

Looks like Qatar continue to make changes to their schedule as they slowly - and understandably cautiously - increase capacity through Doha. BHX has now been re-added to their "Route Resumption" list in their update today. Looking to be as follows: W/C 6th April = 3x Weekly W/C 13th April =...

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

to back what @IanFarquharson says, current pax figures don't suggest that. Marcg'26 looking to have pax figs up circa 3% making it a March record and that with nearly zero QR flights and the number of EK flights more than halved! hopefully with QR restarting next month, SV increasing to 4x...

    Qatar Airways

If it was any other part of the world I would be a lot more concerned, but to countries like the UAE and Qatar, tourism and their respective airlines are too important to their economies. Once restrictions are lifted - which certainly isn't known at the moment, I suspect the like of QR, EK, EY...

    Ryanair

Will already be by far their largest ever summer schedule from BHX. Suspect no more new routes at this late stage, and more increases in capacity potentially... but you never know!

    Ryanair

Just been looking at the RYR BHX Summer'26 Schedule and noticed RYR have been adding flights again... Routes with an extra weekly flight added: - BVA (Now 8x weekly) - SVQ (Now 5x weekly) - LIS (Now 3x weekly) Routes with a weekly flight cut: - SOF (Now 2x weekly) During summer peak season...

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

Indeed.... EK and QR represented circa 7% of all traffic from BHX in February... so the longer they stay grounded the bigger the impact it has on our figures. Also with political uncertainty in places like Mexico and Pakistan and now with Cyprus being hit with drones, it seems things are...

    Air India

This is not a decease. BHX-ATQ has ben 3x weekly since June 2025.... And is actually an increase on Winter 2025 as these flights will be operated by larger 77W rather than the 788's operated last winter!

    Saudia

I don't think there is anything suggesting a prospect of a downgrade to a 321, as you say, they have put a 4th weekly flight on sale with the 787. People are more suggesting that with pax levels as low as they are right now, a 321 would be sufficient. It is however worth nothing that 321 are...

    Saudia

I think you may well be missing the point. The majority of PAX flying from BHX to the Middle East on EK/QR/SV are not Muslim VFR or Muslim Pilgrims but are instead tourists. Of these tourists, a majority will be connecting passengers on to second destinations with the rest staying within the...

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

We’re already at an all-time record for BHX at 13,660,956 pax. ANY increase in pax numbers from this level will be an all-time record for the airport!

    Wizz Air

I suppose the first question is, where would Wizz go? Poland Krakow: EasyJet, Jet2, Ryanair Lodz: Ryanair Poznan: Ryanair Warwas: Ryanair Bydgoszcz: Ryanair Gdansk (Seasonal): Jet 2 Romania Bucharest: Ryanair, Wizzair Craiova: Wizzair Sibiu: Wizzair Suceava: Wizzair Timisoara: Wizzair At...
