    Jet2.com

LGW is a massive opportunity for Jet2, but its also comes with massive contains. LGW being the worlds busiest single runway airport with very limited slot capacity for significant growth. How they have found the space for 5 new based aircraft is interesting... LGW is also home to potentially...

    Route Development & Rumours

I believe this route would muted for a new Ryanair route but nothing seems to have materialised. Agree its an obvious gap in the market we should be able to fill...

    Route Development & Rumours

Thank will never happen... unless you are suggesting BHX reducing the number of Pax flights it offers... BHX does not have the infrastructure or space needed for large scale cargo operations. The hanger space, storage space, customs space, apron space, bonded-storage and apron space. Its also...

    Route Development & Rumours

You are correct, and since the Runway extension opened, the airport has experienced record passenger growth with this year being the busiest year for passengers... As much as people may not like to hear it... a daily flight to Hong Kong is never going to generate anywhere near as many...

    Turkish Airlines

Whilst it was widely touted that TK operated BHX-IST 18x weekly this year and did put 18x weekly flights on sale, they actually only operated 17x weekly. Regardless, great to see them plan to increase further to 3x daily now... Be interesting to see how/if Pegasus responds... to think even now...

    Pegasus Airlines

In the months of August and Sept, they appear to be averaging around the 180 pax per flight on the BHX-SAW route which is pretty decent given the fact this is their first year going Daily! As of now they drop down to 4x weekly from the end October until end of March when it returns back to...

    Route Development & Rumours

This response here - in my opinion - perfectly demonstrates the mismatch some people show on this forum between their dreams and the realities with regard to a) the role of the airport and b) the region it serves. To be comparing Birmingham with Edinburgh personally is a fruitless task destined...

    Route Development & Rumours

No one is being argumentative, we are purely responding to your many curveball queries with logic and reasoning but alas you don't appear to take onboard anything people are telling you. What does this even mean? Of course the airport wants expansion. It is currently experiencing its busiest...

    Route Development & Rumours

Wow you think Honk Kong Airlines - an airline that doesn't even fly to Europe - is likely to start flights to BHX over an airline that's nearly 8 times larger and flies numerous European and UK airports... What have you been drinking?

    Route Development & Rumours

Interesting. W6 BHX-BUD was originally loaded as 3x weekly all summer but was reduced to 2x weekly.... seems the 3rd daily re-instated. Hope Pegasus continue to add capacity on to BHX in 2026... they tend to be happy to add capacity last minute if demand allows so still hopefully they could...

    Route Development & Rumours

Indeed.... Jet2 are still growing but have just cut back how much they are planning to grow. This also follows the decision to do a u-turn an not expand their new base from Bournemouth. Launched this summer with 2 aircraft, a 3rd was due to be added in 2026. This is no longer happening. Alas...
