First ever 787 to Bristol airside photos

BRS is a non cargo station, so only passengers and bags. To some airlines this could make them reluctant to fly there.

Yes it sure is overhanging, the 787 wingspan is about 7m (24ft) wider than the 767, to clear the road to the right it had to be parked off set to the centreline on stand 26. if the airport decide to keep the 787 on stand 26 (R) it will remove the use of stand 25 for the duration of the turn...

    TUI Airways

Talking with the pilot today on the aircraft and others in the know, the 787 will be capable of 10hr flights from BRS, so CUN will be direct even with poor weather conditions. Watching her leave tonight I was amazed at how quiet it was, I know it had no payload but still a lot quieter than the...

All TOM 757's are a 221 config, they changed when they added the extra legroom seats. The seat guru map is out of date.

    Longhaul from Bristol

Given that BRS is a non cargo station, payload for a 10hr flight will be no problem. The TOM 763 used to go out to SFB around 70% of its maximum takeoff weight.

    Movements, Logs & Head Up

Most airlines operating the 757 will disembark from the middle door you will also find this with the larger wide body aircraft. I have seen the steps on the forward do but that was due to a medical emergency. Tom have had 2 based 757,s at BRS for years, CO used to operate a 757 from EWR and...

    Ryanair

The long layover will be due to the aircraft operating a W pattern same as last year, I think it was to LPL.

    TUI Airways

I think with the taxiway widening and turning circles being added in the winter, BRS hinting at the 787 next year.

    Infrastructure, Construction & Developments

On a good night there will be 2 spare stands, that all depends on what BMI are doing with positioning and charter aircraft, last night there were 7 night stopping BMI's. But in the event of major diverts the the airport could take an additional 9 aircraft 4, parked in the cut-de-sac's and 5...

It was a shame the Arrows have based them selves at EXT. The BGH has been operating a double dip flight for the last 3 weeks and will continue for the summer like it. It has around 50/50 BHX/BRS pax on it.

The IOM only exists as there was a gap in the schedule and it made sense to have the aircraft in the air than on the ground. One thing EZY are not looking for is to make a profit from the flight.
