Interesting one, Sun Express new EMA route, only looks to operate for 3 weeks now with no flights on sale for the rest of summer, no doubt linked to the middle east conflict / a reduction in bookings. Looking at LBA all looks ok and the same. Hopefully bookings/loads are good.

How a council is willing to throw public money away like that should be a criminal offence.

What airline is willing to invest millions of pounds in a base with the terms of lease being so high,. no airlines with sense would risk it. Away based flying perhaps but that isnt going to bring in the passenger figures..

Looking at AMS there seems to be quite a few cancellation today. Not just LBA.

All competing/neighbouring airports seems to have have decent announcements for S26, nothing from LBA, what is going on

DSA's runway is the longest and widest in Europe. Once DSA is open it will take the service..!!!.... Opening an airport in times like this is crazy, airlines are very.. very.. cautious to expand, DSA isn't lucrative enough / worth the risk.
