So is this the picture for all summer?
If so, it's still a positive picture, and it's encouraging that they've upped capacity considerably rather than just cut down to one A330 doing JFK/ATL.
I agree with your other suggestions but CPT and DTW seem unlikely. VS withdrew their own metal from Detroit and suspended Cape Town flights from Heathrow - I can't see them re entering a market purely from MAN.
MIA and LAX I think would be the top Us candidates; I don't think SEA would be able...
I'm personally hoping for Havana 2x weekly and Montego Bay 2x weekly. Havana please!
I would say MIA UVF ANU MBJ HAV CUN are all good candidates.
SEA would have been a great route for them but they may have been scared off by TCX.
Also it could be freeing up the 333 needed for the additional...
Even if a new route comes to fruition, this is fantastic as it mops up some spare capacity on the JFK route.
Also, Virgin had previously timetabled the route departing at 1030 - this meant all NY flights were over by that time. Now, they are scheduling some flights at 1350 (the 747 ones). The...
Air Canada Rouge has suspended service:
Between London Gatwick and Vancouver for next summer. Instead they are offering second daily 787 service from Vancouver to Heathrow.
By my recknoning, Houston is around 143 average load. Down from what we've been used to but considering the situation in Houston, I don't think we should hold much weight on that figure.
Philadelphia - 190
Newark - 148
Although I'm not sure of how many sectors were operated, Vancouver seems...
August stats out. Some quick east calcs.
Beijing - 195
Muscat - 170
Riyadh - 224
Jeddah - 189
Hong Kong - 252
Singapore - 175
Obviously, Houston is going to have to be worked out on when Hurricane Harvey scuppered the airport's operations.
Also noticed that whilst ISB is down (no Shaheen) -...
It certainly would be nice! Let's hope!
I've looked through the timetables and noticed the flight is 5 minutes quicker from 23rd May - sometimes airlines make the flight slightly quicker if it's operating with 787s.
Oman Airs flight yesterday was diverted to Tabriz in Turkey, following a medical emergency. Widely considered to be well handled from Oman and the flight touched down in Manchester at around 10pm.
Just been in Thomas Cook travel agents Congleton. Already rebooking 5 different itenaries from RYR cancelled services out of MAN in the next couple of weeks.
I think Thomas Cook to MIA had to turn around and return to MAN - not sure what reason.
Thomson G-TUIG has had to call for extra fuel (BRS-CUN).
Icelandair 80 years livery inbound.
KLM Retro on stand.
Phew!!!
Does anyone have any update on what TCX are looking to do next summer/winter? There was talk of new routes however that has stagnated somewhat. Can anyone give me some insight?
As far as I was aware, we could be looking at:
-TPA/MSY/SAN Possible New Routes (S18)
-Increased Frequency on JFK...
