    Manchester: Airport Transformation Programme

As tattyd mentions in the post following yours, it looks like most of the windows in the pier are nearly floor to ceiling. Given that the floor plates in T2x extend to the façade the windows there will be nearly that also. Of course it would be nice if the airside interior was a couple of floors...

    Manchester: Airport Transformation Programme

While it would be nice to have a lot of glass on the airside façade, it isn't that important as most travellers will not be looking at that elevation for any appreciable length of time. The landslide façade is still almost all glass, though the height has been reduced. Keep in mind between the...

    Manchester: Airport Transformation Programme

I noticed in one of the MAN posts on either Facebook or Twitter that the toilets on the pier look to have water fountains at their entrance. At first glance the entrances look to be much bigger than those in the existing terminals. Don't have the photo at hand, unfortunately.

Manchester: Virgin Atlantic Route News & Base Updates

There are rumours, at least in the case of VS that their costs are lower than DL on UK-US routings using similar aircraft. This may be because the crews that get TA flights on the US majors tend to be more senior; whereas VS crews will be the total mix.

Yes, and you can find more details as to when and where the drones demos will be operating via the airports OAN's. There was one for 08/11 up all ready

    Norwegian Air Shuttle

You get VS from next summer, but still seasonal for now. As for winter, outside of rail to LHR, you are still making a connection there or DUB. Obviously train to LHR and then non-stop to LAX might be the best, but if your doing a flight connection in the winter ATL is probably a better , if...

    Etihad Airways

The floor panels shouldn't have much effect on the seat as those are anchored to the seat tracks which are much stiffer than a panel. However, with a combination of lightweight seat and a specific walking speed you could get a natural resonance. Each airline will choose their seat supplier...

    Flybe

Sounds to me like a FlyBe issue, though in general any part of the chain can spoil the entire experience, and the self-check-in machines are MAG provided, but will link to FlyBe software. Can't figure out why it wasn't clear on her confirmation that she was on an AF flight going out? The real...

    Manchester: Airport Transformation Programme

According the planning documents the check-in hall is on Level 2, which you can see from the upper two photos. The bottom one looks to be level 4.5, which is one of the few levels that does not line up with the original T2.

    Manchester: (MAN) - General Thread

Netflights don't really tell you how they measure the 'family friendliness' of the airport. That is while you can see the categories, you can't tell how they get a score. Further, at least some of their information is just wrong. I will say that MAN leaves quite a bit to be desired. For...

Manchester: Virgin Atlantic Route News & Base Updates

Do not try to make too many heads or tails with the reservations systems. Especially DL's, which is what VS now use. I find that two searches one after another will often turn up different results on the combinations that give a specific price. Further, it will sometimes quote a price when you...
