That six minutes of extra time was a very long six minutes. Well done the Blues. At least we play the Villa again next season.

    Birmingham: CAA Provisional Statistics Update

New York down 18%. Trump effect no doubt, given the cessation of AA. Would like to see some of the destinations at the bottom of the list become regulars or year round routes. Nice would be nice.

    Flybe

New press release on BHX news: Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has expanded its 2017-18 Winter schedule from Birmingham with new flights to Newquay operating for the first time over the busy Christmas and New Year period. Seats are available for booking now alongside the full...

May have been mentioned already, but full length runway now showing on Google Earth, although not the phone version. Looks good and like a damn good proper airport.'

How to say wolfheze. You have surprised me as I thought you had a very long shelf.:sneaky:

    Random Stuff!

I was decorated and cutting in below the radiator when the final whistle went. I am decorating again next weekend. Maybe I shouldn't. Good performance yesterday. All they need to do next week is "build a wall, a great wall, gonna keep those Bristolians out, nasty people able to grab a goal...

    Birmingham: (BHX) - General Thread

Well done team marketing. As for a second runway: I agree with ray, terminal and apron space is far more important. Need that abandoned remote pier or expand the exiting pier along to railway. Plus need to grow the old eurohub. Long term, I am not sure the new runway/terminal aligned to HS2...

    Random Stuff!

The kids in us. Come on we still want to play. I wanted flight deck, but I never got one, so made one myself using string, stairs, odds and sods of Lego, meccano, cereal boxes, old washing up liquid bottles and of course sticky back plastic. See in the day Blue Peter did impact on our lives...

Collection looking very comprehensive, wolfheze. I would be so tempted to construct a runway and play around with them. The kid in me.

    Emirates

I am not that worried about emirates. They seem to be cutting back a lot of services. Good opportunity for us to seek more direct flights or expand Qatar or even attract Etihad. It is easy at the moment to think this growth will not suffer any setbacks, but it will. They may decide to run two...

    Birmingham: CAA Provisional Statistics Update

Quite incredible: one million additional passengers in 9 months. I still reckon we will pass 13 in December, but hold out hope for earlier! What next though?

    Birmingham: Airport - Video Thread

Love it, Ray. But would have been great if a hand appeared on the outside of the plane and flicked the wiper to get it going again.

    Birmingham: CAA Provisional Statistics Update

Another good month with some many extra seats to come. Happy days. Question is where are the 10%+ additional passengers coming from? Within the catchment? Captured from other airports? Or new visitors from overseas to the area? Or all of the above. The trajectory is sound at the moment.

    Birmingham: Route Development & Rumours

I agree on the Phuket point. Major move in the right direction. Regarding the runway, it will take time. It was built before the demand was adequate. For once the infrastructure is ahead of time. No-one said it would be easy.

    British Airways Cityflyer

Blimey. Someone gets on a podium to promote Brim and we moan. I agree that at this stage there is some wishful thinking that BA would establish a non-London hub, but such is the success of BHX (and MAN and EDI) that maybe they are taking a second look at testing the appetite for the BA brand in...

    Random Stuff!

Interesting article in the Guardian online today regarding moving Channel 4 from London. Whilst not confirming anything there is a heavy emphasis on Birmingham and it is the city's time given the BBCs move to Salford, plus the culture secretary allegedly hinted at the move to Brum...

    Eurowings

Good to see. All year, perfect. Beautiful city. More to come I suspect, although I have no evidence, other than you launch a service on the back of launching another. Shows confidence.

Birmingham: Airport Infrastructure, Construction & Developments

On the hotel, the architects who submitted the original application do a lot of work for Holiday Inn....but with two so close doubt if it is they. Wait for the advertisement application to come in. That will give it away. Raddison would be good. ....on the second runway, the issue as I see it...

    Birmingham: Airport - Picture Thread

Tremendous array of snaps. Well done all. Great to see every inch of stand space used, but it does highlight a capacity issue. Damn this double digit annual growth!
