I am doing a Trump and sending message at a ridiculous hour in the morning, but man flu keeping me awake. Enough of the sympathy campaign. I wish everyone a very happy Christmas. Been great being you the past year. Have a good one and enjoy.
As Thunder child and Ray have pretty much covered it, I am more humble and I would like to see any unserved Euro capital, Mumbai, somewhere in south america (the next big thing)...and Vancouver: my two favourite cities linked together would be great...oh and a shuttle to Southend so I back to me...
Excellent news. good wine region.
Re: excellent debate on routes and rumours page, I think monarch are a good long term growth partner for us. been quiet whilst they sort themselves out but they have stuck their neck out a bit with Stockholm and Porto, so maybe they will take the risk elsewhere...
A very interesting and worthwhile debate. for my tuppence, the problem with BHX is simply that it fails to maximise the catchment, but also that it serves what remains the part of the UK with the lowest propensity to fly and a population who are every conservative when it comes to destinations...

Thanks for the article Ray. Clearly Brum always be in the best location for any national project. It will always be the most accessible place in the UK and if you look at history it has been at the Centre of the canal network, the rail network and motorway network. Crossroads was not called...
Well done Matt. Excellent stuff. No better way of digesting the scale of what is now going on.
Reminds me of the old paper timetables the airport used to produce. Then of course, they were a lot shorter.
Thank you for doing this.
Thanks for the link Kevin. However, the figures for Edinburgh must be wrong as the rolling year is shown as down 1.5% and below BHX.
Hopefully the CAA will go back to publishing the numbers on a monthly basis.

I agree with your comments, but LGW does and will need a new runway. It is a shame that such a decision was not taken now.
As for the impact on BHX, I am not that bothered. It is the Midlands airport and will stand on its own two feet without the need to be a London airport...
