Leeds Bradford: Airport seeks legal clarification on night flying

So my rudimentary maths. Say the summer season is 30 weeks long (that’s just a finger in the air) 941 extra flights = roughly 30 extra flights per week, or 4 and a bit per day. But those flights aren’t just going to operate by an aircraft otherwise grounded all day. Nor are they just going to...

Leeds Bradford: Airport seeks legal clarification on night flying

A few of the comments that I’m reading talk about the seats being generated by the extra night movements as quite small (e.g 38,000). Those numbers relate only to night movements, though. There’s potential for those extra night movements to be operated by extra based aircraft, which would see a...

Leeds Bradford: TUI Airways Route News

Just goes to show, know matter how much training, there will always be incidents with new causes that won’t or can’t have been anticipated. The pilots have split seconds to make decisions and even though the risk may not have been there (with hindsight) they brought the plane to a safe, albeit...

Leeds Bradford: £100m Regeneration Programme REGEN

Reminds me of the mindset of some of my fellow Bradford City fans Make a new signing and the default is SUPO ‘shite until proven otherwise!’

Pretty sure Cardiff flights leave near enough empty. They’ve been called Temu Express before due to the nature of the inbound cargo

Leeds Bradford: £100m Regeneration Programme REGEN

It could be a catalyst for positive news! What I’ve seen on Social Media this morning, with the exception of two comments it’s pretty clear the general feeling is of support for LBA

Forgive me if this has been posted somewhere and I’ve missed it. Where can I find dates of the meetings please? I have an LBA supporting friend in Otley who would be keen to attend

That must be one of the more interesting movements in a long time, if it actually arrived

When we say P3, a P3 to me is an Orion, is that what visited? (or was due to)

Leeds Bradford: Route Development & Rumours

Do you / we know what the usual level of conversion from slots to actual flights is? Is it likely to be a handful, most, I presume not none or all? E.g. say there are 50 new slots filed - is it fair to expect a large number of those will be acted on?

Thank god for that, I’ve just been hit with a hefty bill on my MOT so can do without buying hats!

Leeds Bradford: Wizz Air Route News & Schedule Updates

Absolutely, I don’t see it as a victory for anyone, LBA, Liverpool, Manchester, Finningley or Wizz. As others have intimated, it probably plays into the hands of Ryanair only.

Leeds Bradford: Ryanair Route News & Base Updates

Is this related to the public fallout with Spain - and runway closure is just the party line being used?

Leeds Bradford: Route Development & Rumours

Nobody is saying all over the world - I think most of us would be surprised if we got north american links (we can but hope) But a connection, by whichever form, to Pakistan is almost inevitable at some point.

Leeds Bradford: Route Development & Rumours

I’m speculating here but I suspect there are as many long haul travellers who change as those that go direct Via European hubs, on Turkish via Istanbul or the ME 3. Fuel stops don’t involve the long change over times, I’m not sure your average traveller cares if they have a fuel stop
