What I'm missing so far is where this route will be going to in China. Everything says between CWL and China, China is a big country. Is it a scheduled flight between cwl and a freight hub airport or is it more of an ad hoc to whichever airport in China there's demand, more of a freight charter...
This whole beregioal and avooma thing is a bit strange. Looks far more like an online fantasy being played out by an obsessive recluse, rather than anything remotely funded, structured or legitimate.
The websites are basic answer forms where people can say what routes they like, the big...
If Labour were to devolve APD in its entirety to Wales, the Welsh Gov would be in a dammed if you do dammed if you don't scenario. Economy V Environment again.
As per Jerry's very interesting post, domestic, band A and band B would be of interest to CWL. Replacing them with a 'carrier bag...

An absolutely insane article from Wales Online. Apparently BudgetAir and Ryanair operate flights from CWL to AGP. Plus they seem to have included self transfer FR flights from AGP and possibly DUB in their...
Belfast however, jeez those are some pathetic loads and ridiculous prices, less than £14 for this coming Wednesday! 20 on the seat map for tomorrow's flight, yikes.
Flybe 2.0 in to administration. Cardiff dodged an absolute bullet by not dealing with them again! At least there's one less negative CWL story in the press this morning
I can vaguely remember it being a Welsh CEO at the time the deal was struck with CWL, who has since left his position... Possibly a sentimental agreement which was never going to survive actual financial scrutiny when other routes from bigger airports have a guaranteed year round LF more in line...
Probably the cost of operating out of LHR, the slot restrictions, the environmental impact too, especially when many bus companies have routes to LHR from Cardiff itself. Flybe in their old guise did LCY from CWL for a while but it was dropped after low uptake, it's just too close for a...
If I was a betting man I'd say that speculation is nothing more. If I was an optimist, a limited new flybe base would be the ideal for those missing city routes.... Glasgow, Paris etc
Looking at the news David TC Davies has been appointed secretary of state for Wales yesterday, I can't help but remember when as chair of the Wales affairs committee, he unequivocally supported devolution of APD to Wales. Calling it "good for all of wales" and that the Welsh office "exists to...
Kind of expected this, but couldn't resist the price of the flights. Now hundreds of pounds in the hole thanks to accommodation in Bucharest. Pretty peeved with Wizz for starting a route that was niche and then dropping it with 17 days warning.
The Bucharest route in particular is looking really grim with £21 flights the norm and so far on the seat map just 27 pax allocated for the inaugural flight. May be a surprise if it takes off at all tbh with Wizz making the promise not to fly empty planes as part of their green commitment.
Going to Paris in a couple of weeks. EasyJet from Bristol sadly, ORY just that little bit less convenient. We've all done CDG many times in Flybe times so know exactly what trains to take, Orly seems a little bit closer but less well linked.
I know that operationally this has to happen from time to time, but an airline that mainly pushes its green credentials, flying a flight from London to Cardiff to move crew is shocking
I took an outbound flight for the first time since covid last week and I have to say while the whole process was as smooth as always from a smaller airport the beer house left me both bitterly disappointed and angry.
My girlfriend and I ordered two breakfasts and two coffees ( the whole alcohol...
Flew Wizz from CWL to Alicante this week. Both the outbound and return were a good 80% capacity with most people having checked luggage, cabin bags and seat selection so I imagine they're doing very well financially on that route. Plenty of in-flight drinks too. Strangely for the alicante flight...
It was a very short gap for a winter flight which is strange , so a peak summer would make sense, especially when lanzarotte is a 3 weekly so plenty of time to be made use of
Lanzarotte reloaded as a 'new' destination on wizz, starting on 28/3/22-10/6/22 then resuming at the end of September. Priced in the 70s at the date I looked at in April so surely an okay level of forward bookings?
