Looking from the alternative perspective, if they feel they need to cut frequencies in badly hit parts of Europe, but need to maintain slot usage at LHR, then a temporary increase in frequency on a short LBA hop might be a possibility?
If this was the terminology used by AMP (and if they truly believe it themselves), then common sense would suggest they should get on with it and undertake a significant terminal expansion/improvements, so that those airlines can be welcomed through the door and not have to be banging on it...
The 1-11s were always one of my favourites to see, the Dan-Air ones particularly on the Jersey summer weekend runs in the 1980s stick in my mind from childhood. As has been mentioned in the past, Intasun also used Dan-Air 1-11s on some of their LBA IT charters, Palma, Ibiza and Girona I think...
