I have heard that the 13th aircraft will be kept at BRS throughout the winter season as a spare. Next summer I have heard some rumours from crew that we will have 15 based a/c at brs!!!
if JET2 do open another base I hate to say it but I can honestly say it will be likely to be CWL in my eyes. Since BMI Baby ceased ops cardiff hasnt had a true LCC start up. Granted flyBE have made a very good base for themselves over the water but CWL could do with a true LCC to give some...
Hi Local! The Berlin 'Cancellation' on the 28th was down to ACL sending the slots over at the beginning of the summer season, however EZY quite early on decided not to operate a Berlin flight that day, so there was never a berlin flight scheduled. It was that the flight was created in the Flight...
Hi all! I will still be posting on this forum just not as actively as I was a few months back as I have now a new daughter and time has just run away with me what with work and home life taking priority! So now we have all settled down to a routine I will hopefully (and I am being rather...
This type of security search is the only one in the world outside of the Netherlands. Amsterdam use exactly the same set up and the manufacturer are priding themselves on it! Apparently you can alter the speeds but as it is new for the staff as well as the passengers, the staff need to get used...
funny thing is, it is broken already. With all the rain we have had recently the roof has leaked and water has got into it. So that was a waste of time and effort!
I had a captain of KLM Cityhopper explain all this to me once earlier this year. KLM Were originally planning on indeed operating the B737 on some rotations but apparently it all stems to the fact that it is actually KLM Cityhopper that operates the route, and NOT KLM Mainline, in much the same...
I can confirm that 46 flights were cancelled accross the easyJet network today. This shocked me as the strike really wasn't as harsh as last week. So not all Controllers took part. Worst slot delay was the EZY6005 Faro of 29 minutes. Last Tuesday we had delays of well over 2 hours on many...
It is accross the whole network. Apparently BRS are fully recruited! A couple of my friends were denied places saying they were full! But from what I have seen that is certainly not the case!
As with the vast majority ( a good 98% of them!) it is all down to a lack of crew to operate the flight. Granted the industrial actions in France will inevitably have some impact. But the real reason is an apparent lack of crew. easyJet want to shy away from the truth and as such put the reasons...
*cue palm on face moment* I can understand the queues for immigration and security well the works are still going on but really? They moan about the grass but not the weeds and rubbish dotted accross the whole airport site.... The british public never fail to amaze me.....
Funnily enough on the topic of Newcastle, that was cancelled this morning due to no crew to operate it. The passengers were all put in taxis up the ones who were still willing to travel. Others claiming the standard refund option.
The maximum is indeed 900 hours they can legally operate. But...
again, I can explain! The Bordeaux diverted into La Rochelle with what I presume to be a pressurisation issue as it squawked 7700 (the emergency code) just over the north coast of France and descended to 10,000 from 34,000 and then flew to La Rochelle at 10,000 feet. Because of this diversion...
In another question I have, I was wandering how easy it was to apply to the CAA for a personalised registration marks? easyjet all start with G-EZ and seeing SierraFoxtrot's excellent photos of the Catalina PBY 5A has a reg of G-PBYA which is the aircraft type. You also notice it on balloons...
yes it is! there apparently is too much General Aviation going on this weekend which is a shame! I do like it when they turn up. Brightens my usual routine day at work!
I have to agree. It is far to late in the year to get anything major started at BRS for this year. However next year now APD has not been desolved I reckon we will see something.
Although not really a new destination but EZY are to start flying to Gran Canaria from October
that is correct! Also the Catania has been delayed overnight due to the strike action today. Also because of the strike meaning crew are out of hours and we have 2 tech aircraft at brs the folowing flights have also been cancelled:
EZY457 IOM
EZY570 NCL
EZY407 GLA
Also the EZY6081 VIE has been...
