Historically Boeing products have always been more successful using LBA's ILS for CatIII ops than Airbus. bmi had to do alot of work to get the A319 to autoland on 32. Thomas Cook are, I believe CatI only at LBA - indeed I don't think any other Airbus operator historically...

Not quite...
The new installation has to now operate successfully at Cat 1 for a given period of time before it can be used for CatII/III ops. Standard procedure for new precision approach aids.
