Birmingham Aviation is merely wanting a discussion. Trouble is, and I share his frustration, we are not seeing a lot happening. We have it year after year, and expectations can run ahead of ourselves. when I joined this forum, I was eager for the next exciting move...I was really excited about...
I went to Venice with my good wife earlier in the year, and we went to a concert of the Four Seasons in a church. La Foila was one of the 'other' tunes the chamber orchestra played. I agree, it is brilliant.
Enjoy your music. It is my passion and I can list many songs that will make you melt...

One for you BrumX. Cost of my mortgage for a 4-bes house per month for a 1-bed flat! Blimey. Views are amazing no doubt.
I Think the security area is too near the door. If they moved it a lot further in maybe the queue would not reach the door and so pyschologically, there would be no queue as queues only become an issue, in my 60 years experience, once they go out of the door.
We went to go into a cafe the...
In which case, and given how lousy the British are at infrastructure, they had better start with the planning now for the terminal expansion to cope post 2030...I have a tent going.
Time for them to think big. Aim for 30 mmpa capacity, as they once did.
Excellent numbers. The best numbers. New numbers. Numbers never seen before, ever. The airport has for 150 years wanted a ball room. And the east tent is going to be a ballroom. No airport CEO could ever build a ball room. Barton builds ballrooms, the best ballrooms....
...stop me, someone...
Don't mention the.tent ever. When I stayed at the Holiday inn at BHX I looked across and thought what the "being polite" is that " being polite" tent doing at a major international airport?
When I arrived at mxp, the BEA livered BA Airbus 319 was here. flash back to the good olden days.
I am sure these employees really enjoy speculation like this.
At present BHX is fine. Could be a lot better if the company spent a billion quid. But having come through MXP T1 on Monday, there are far worse airports.
I think we all must have been there. Those days were so wonderful. Eating a bag of cheese and onion golden wonders, face pressed to the glass, and the smell of turbo props. Remember when airports used to let you in to watch the airport in action? To be fair when the 'new' terminal opened in 1984...
Oh, Ian. Tur tut. Come on: 16 out? We rely on 100% accuracy on here, not wild speculation, mate.
Seriously, congratulations on the accuracy of your figures. Not sure how you do it, but you must have one heck of a spreadsheet. I always look forward to your posts. Thank you for what you bring.
BBC reported the incident in their usual way... One diverted plane sat on the runway for an hour and was refuelled on the runway, apparently. Must have peeved off other pilots! :banghead:

Way it's growing EDI could beat them all. Counted 15 TATL flights in one day with some twice daily and all North American Airlines. Go EDI.
Will BHX ever reach 50 mppa? Even I, who optimistically forecast 14 mppa for this year would doubt that.
Spot on tompo. Market share is the big stat. Been going to up from 4.2 to 4.4 over the last year or so.
As for the May growth outstripping others, we did lag behind initially post COVID....remember how Bristol nearly caught up. So it could be catch up. Time will tell.
Nonetheless, some...
