TRIBE construction begins at Airport City Manchester Airport City Manchester has commenced work on the construction of a brand new 412-bedroom TRIBE hotel, which is the first of its kind in the UK. Set in the heart of Airport City Manchester’s hotel district, TRIBE will be the third new hotel to be built at the development, following the 280-bed Holiday Inn and a 262-bed Ibis Budget which are due to open in Summer 2022. Once complete, the nine-storey, 12,300m2 TRIBE hotel will feature 412 rooms and suites, restaurant and bar, a gym, and a crew lounge for airline staff. 17 September 2021 Statement - international travel system The simplification of the UK’s international travel system, including doing away with pre-departure tests and switching to lateral flow on arrival, will make it easier and cheaper for people to travel abroad. For too long, the recovery of UK aviation has lagged behind the rest of Europe. The changes announced today will help to close that gap by encouraging more people to book foreign travel. 30 July 2021 Next airline relocates to Manchester's Terminal Two as Eurowings moves in Eurowings will become the latest airline to relocate to Manchester Airport’s new-look ‘super-terminal’ on Monday 2nd August. The Terminal Two extension opened to the public on 14th July with Jet2.com and TUI operating from there in the first week. Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Brussels Airlines, airBaltic, Ethiopian Airlines and Aegean Airlines have all now followed suit in moving their operations to the new terminal.
