    Poor move IMO, the Thomson and FC brands are strong in British public perception and many will see this as yet another example of continental European companies taking over iconic British brands. With a referendum on the cards I would have kept this under wraps if I were them....

    I don't really care which a/c operates the first flight as long as I don't have to suffer the embarrassment of diverting to MAN due to bad weather at LBA!

    I was on the last BA Viscount into LBA and am seriously considering making the trip up on the first flight on the 9th Dec. £116 return doesn't sound too bad ;)
