My thoughts are with you. This Christmas will be 22 years since I lost my dad, I still miss him terribly.

Thanks for your thoughts. December is the 8th anniversary of my mum dying (ironically the day after we visited dad's grave) with me having a near escape after a carbon monoxide poisoning incident

The hardest part was letting the relatives and friends know- my older brother lives in Exeter but had "emergency stuff" to literally throw into his car as my dad had terminal cancer so knew it was just a matter of time.

With my mum, I was literally out of it - my brother said I sounded slow and confused when I woke up and called him after finding mum slumped. Had hours of pure oxygen to get me to safe levels and was then under strict instruction from the police not to say anything to him till he arrived apart from being in hospital
