I'm on it with friends, family and colleagues.
One point is that I'll really go to town on just how bad the facilities are today compared with similar regional airports (NCL/BRS etc) so don't take it personally LBA. To balance the argument I'll point out how this can all be rectified with the...
Just when we think it can't get any worse! I wont mention the precarious position BA are in at the moment.
So does that make KLM the second biggest carrier at LBA and how depressing the Wednesday departure board will look this winter without Ryanair and FlyBe propping it up.
Some positive...
To show confidence in BA, LBA and the aviation industry as a whole, I have re-booked my 3 cancelled LHR-LBA flights even though I could have received a full refund.
That only leaves a LHR-DUB-LBA-LHR flight in May with BA/ EI which was booked via an external agent.
Very few available seats on yesterdays BA 1346 with 7 row allocated to"biz class." The return BA 1345 had ~70 on board. With a slightly unusual 14 departure (almost straight over the city centre) linked to a clear night, the views of Leeds were stunning.
A last minute BA flight up to LBA booked for tomorrow for initially a meeting at the airport and then onto Elland Rd for a spot of football courtesy of the match sponsor. Back to LHR on Wednesday.
That’s now 7 BA LBA flights in the 1st 3 months of the year, but doubt I’ll ever catch @KARFA up.
3 LBA flights booked for 2020 so far:
BA LHR day return on 14th February
BA LHR day return on 27th March
EI single from Dublin and then fly out with BA back to LHR on the 25th May.
Hopefully will be catching up with @KARFA on both the Friday southbound’s and sure there will be more LBA...
I've used the Belfast route 3 times this year and each time the aircraft has been full or near as damn it. It just shows you that when an airline provides the right schedule and has a sensible pricing structure the service from Leeds is well used.
Back up to LBA this Sunday on the BA1346 with...

They are certainly looking at Chinese students heading to York via their KLM link and LBA diversions as per enclosed article.
